Not Chelsea related but a great, naive look at what the premier league is all about.
An analysis of Chelsea's performance in the EPL under Rafa. Revealing fact, under Rafa Chelsea would have only claimed 48 points (which is fifth along the table). If not for our strong start under Di Matteo we would have been looking at a lower finish.
This is an analysis of Rafa's system and his player selections. This explains some stuff. The rigidity of Rafa's system meant that he had to play Mata every minute because there was no other player like him. Also Rafa's odd midfield pairings and his insistence on David Luiz in midfield.
Lots of chatter over the past few days about Luke Shaw getting closer to being a Chelsea player. Really like this - home-grown, potential to be very high quality (and already good), and, as we've seen reported, he grew up a Chelsea supporter. Hope for all the fans who dream of wearing blue!
Here's a good YouTube tribute to that entire magical Champions League run, from the group stages through the final. A pretty fun video to watch today, on the one year anniversary of our big win.
Not the most informative thing ever done, but there are a few interesting comments.
