Don't hold your breath for Kenneth Omeruo finding himself a loan deal anytime soon. The promising young centre back, whom this year has featured prominently for Nigeria in both their Africa Cup of Nations win and their Confederations Cup not-win, picked up a shoulder problem during the latter tournament and apparently has re-aggravated it while training with Chelsea. As a result, he's had to have keyhole surgery that'll keep him out for a solid period of time.
Kenneth has undergone surgery for his shoulder problem. I spoke to him before he went into the theatre, he’s in good hands because that is one of the best hospitals for such surgery.

Daily Times go on to claim that Omeruo's recovery will probably take at least eight weeks, by which point we'll be a long way into the season. It's difficult to imagine clubs needing loans by the time he's fit again. The silver lining is that Mourinho could use this to get him some minutes with the senior squad, but on the whole I'd rather have him getting regular time elsewhere than injured and used sporadically with the first team.
Either way, though, best wishes for a quick recovery.
