Julian Finney
He's still looking as though he's out for the season, but Oriol Romeu's recovery from the ACL tear he suffered at Sunderland last December seems to be going about as well as it can be. The Spanish midfielder, still just 21 years old, has now resumed light training, and a message on his Facebook page reads, "Getting the feelings back! After three months and one week it goes all right. So far so good! I'm expecting to be back in 2/3 months."
Romeu had been one of the players to benefit from the appointment of interim manager Rafa Benitez and prior to his injury looked as though he'd bounced back from his poor form under Roberto di Matteo. His injury's done some pretty unfortunate things to Chelsea's midfield, and although I'm not sure we'll ever see him be an impact player at Stamford Bridge it'll be good to get him back next year for depth reasons alone.
