Who wants some good news? Y'all do, I bet. Well, it's not earth-shatteringly great news, or anything -- we haven't found a 24-year-old clone of Michael Essien or a way of removing the insane imp that occasionally controls David Luiz's brain -- but it's heartening and I think we could all use a pick-me up right now.

Most of you will be familiar with the story of Sam Hutchinson. Hutchinson, 23, joined the club as a nine-year-old and featured in a handful of first-team games before a knee problem forced him to retire more than two years ago. But improvement in his condition allowed him to un-retire, and we've been tracking his progress with great interest since.

Unfortunately, Hutchinson hasn't had a lot of football this year. Although he got some time at the beginning of the season on loan at Nottingham Forest, he hasn't played since September 18th thanks to a knee injury he sustained at Crystal Palace. But now he's back, say Forest.

Yay! Good luck to Sam as he tries to reestablish himself in the squad. Can't be any worse than Alan Hutton, right?
