I think after another game changing performance and goal against Man City it's safe to say that Chelsea have really dropped the ball with this one, which is compounded by the fact that we bought a player who isn't fit to lace Sturridge's boots from Liverpool for 4x the price!
His performances against Man Utd and now Man city, where he lead the line absolutely superbly shows exactly why he should have been a Chelsea regular, he showed absolutely everything you want from a elite level Striker: Great Pace, Shot Accuracy, Intelligence, Movement, Work Rate, Vision, Directness. The whole package. He also displayed this against the league's two best sides, not Brentford! I think Chelsea will be regretting this for a long time, even more so as we could have easily had Suarez and Sturridge as our own partnership if we hadn't gone for Torres.
I think he was undervalued by a lot of Chelsea supporters and even more so by the board. Where was the " We went Daniel Sturridge" chants like the there was for Ba. Even when Drogba and Anelka were at Chelsea he was clearly our in form striker at one point having more goals than Anelka, Drogba and Torres combined, and yet the general attitude towards him was general indifference rather than the passionate support his displays deserved and game after game he was left to rot on the bench.
Well Done Danny and another bad, bad mistake from the management at Chelsea to add to the list.
