Eden Hazard's on a bit of a run as of late. Over the past three games, Hazard has been Chelsea's best player. In my opinion, Hazard has easily been Chelsea's most entertaining player this campaign, what with his mazy runs and his ability to embarrass seasoned defenders - His speed and skill make for a dangerous combination, inspiring fear in even the best defenders' minds.
Versus Middlesbrough, Hazard was rested as part of the expertly crafted rotation strategy employed by the handsome Rafael Benitez (Chelsea fans are sure lucky to have him!). He came off the bench to replace the elder statesman (Or just elder, if you will) in the 58th minute, injecting some much needed creativity, helping to down the Championship team more easily. He was good when he came on, almost linking up with Oscar shortly after his introduction in an attack that would have surely led to a goal. A few moments later, the pair combined for a great chance, with the unselfish Hazard slotting the ball to Moses for an easy tap in, though he could have easily finished it himself. He went on being his awesome self throughout the remainder of the game, attempting several shots and getting into very promising positions with his previously established skill-set.
This game was not perfect, however; Hazard had a few misplaced passed throughout the game, though. It would be fine if the passes were forcibly misplaced, but sometimes it seems that Hazard's passing game simply lacks sharpness and the necessary concentration to be truly great. He's still learning, and he's proven to be my favourite player, so I fully expect him to fulfill his ridiculous potential and join the upper echelon of the football world.
