After painfully watching the Man-city match and Sparta Prague I have decided that their is not something quite right with our team. And that thing is the tactics and player which are decided by one man FSW.
Against city he wanted us to play a counter attacking team. This is a counter attacking team;
team A
Cech
Dave Cahill Terry Cole
Luiz Ramires
Moses Oscar Hazard
Ba
Now with this team, I have left out Frank and Mata, who a lot of people would argue is highly needed. But often Mata is a bit slow on the ball and always takes an extra touch.
Now the team above ^^^ is fast and has pace, Moses - direct, Oscar - semi direct, Hazard - Direct. Ramires would break from midfield and Luiz would spray stunning passes from midfield. With actually moving and holding the ball up.
Now this is team he set up
Team B
Cech
Ivan Cahill Luiz Cole
Mikel Lampard
Ramires Mata Hazard
Ba
Now which team is quicker and ready for a counter attack. For me TEAM A. Lampard as well is slow and not good defensivly,
If we want to press and play high up the pitch, then Mata and Lampard come in. What RAFA is getting wrong is playing the wrong tatics with the wrong players.
