Summer Moves Chelsea should make

Currently Chelsea is a broken team on the demise struggling to retain its reputation despite the best efforts of a rich owner. In the summer Chelsea get the chance to turn that around and I think these are the 5 best moves for the club plus a new manager.

New Manager – Jose Mourinho

I know there has already been a lot of speculation about this but I believe he is certainly the best man for the job. Not only is he loved by Chelsea fans but he founded most of Chelsea’s current success. He bought Lampard, Terry and Cole (or had some part in their purchase). His prowess in the transfer market is unmatched so I believe he should be brought back to finally clear out Benitez.

Transfer Target 5 – Fabio Coentrao LB £20 million

Even though Cole is still performing to a high standard we will need to begin to phase him out. Bertrand is an exciting prospect but he is certainly not ready to become a first team regular. There are not many other great LB and Fabio hasn’t yet broken past Marcelo into the first team so he is a great option.

Transfer Target - Edinson Cavani ST £45 million

Currently Torres is performing average and this is probably the best patch he has had at Chelsea but he still struggles to regain that killer age that made him one of the most competitive strikers in the world. Cavani is currently scoring with ease at Napoli which isn’t a world class team yet he drives them to perform. If Chelsea could nab Cavani from Napoli it would be a great move..

Transfer Targer 3 – Isco £30 million

Isco is probably one of the most exciting prospects in the world and would surely be a good buy no matter the price. Chelsea are still searching for a goal scoring midfielder to fill the void at the end of Lampard’s seemingly never-ending career. Isco is a better option than most of the other attacking midfielders out there and at 30 million is still a bargain.

Transfer Target 2 – Sergio Ramos £35 million
I haven’t heard much speculation about him recently but I think he should be considered more. Chelsea need a new rock in defense as John Terry’s injuries and bad patches become bigger and worse. Sergio Ramos for me is the best defender in the world and coud come cheap due to his current quarrel with Madrid. However, Ramos would probably be impossible to snap up if Mourinho also joins Chelsea.

Transfer Target 1 – Radamel Falcao £50 million

Yeah, yeah you’ve read it before and you don’t think it will happen or work btu hear me out. Falcao not only scores goal like Liverpool Torres he creates them. Also Torres is a weak striker with speed like Shevchenko and both didn’t work at Chelsea, however Drogba plays a lot more like Falcao. The money doesn’t matter we need a striker to convert the chances create by our midfield.
