Oh hey look, they're all gone; GONE!; with the wind. - Scott Heavey
The last time QPR won at Stamford Bridge, Chopper Harris and Ray Wilkins were still playing. Have you seen Wilkins lately? Yeah, it's been a while.
Let's make this closer to the 6-1 thumping of last season than the 0-0 of earlier this season. Yes? Yes. Ok. Daniel Sturridge and Florent Malouda both scored in that 6-1. Now they're both gone or whatever it is that FloMo is nowadays. Michael Essien, Jose Bosingwa, Salomon Kalou all started that match; now they're not even at Chelsea - although there's always a chance that Essien comes back in January. Petr Cech is another starter from that day who's going to miss out - but I guess if there's ever a league match to get Ross Turnbull some minutes, this is it.
Here we go:
Chelsea starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Ross Turnbull; Ryan Bertrand, Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta; Frank Lampard, David Luiz; Marko Marin, Oscar, Victor Moses; Fernando Torres
Substitutes from: Hilario, Ashley Cole, Paulo Ferreira, Ramires, Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Lucas Piazon
Queens Park Rangers starting lineup (4-3-3):
Julio Cesar; Fabio, Clint Hill, Ryan Nelsen, Nedum Onouha; Esteban Granero, Shaun Derry, Stephane Mbia; Adel Taarabt, Junior Hoilett, Jamie Mackie
Substitutes from: Rob Green, Anton Ferdinand, Park Ji-Sung, Djibril Cisse, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Kieron Dyer, Alejandro Faurlin
Do not adjust your sets, it's Marko Marin! In the starting lineup! Whoa. Also, neither Mata nor Hazard are starting but Torres is. Demba Ba can't get here fast enough.
Here's to a happiest of new years and an easy three points!
