Well we have been looking for strikers after the departure of our best .... And we've been linked to many different strikers with many a different attributes... So what about Fernando....(the other one that is )

Well i recentlyr read on ESPN ( i know they are not reliable but go with me for now) that he is unhappy and wants CL football. And it got me thinking that it does make sense... He has been with Athletico Bilbao since 05 and has score 41 goals in 79 apps. He is 27 now and naturally would want to play for a CL club. And what other place to go to than the champions of Europe eh (God i love the sound of that ).

I mean he is a versatile player and can be a great man to play long balls to if the Torres magic is not working(which sadly happens alot) and we are trailing with a park the bus style of team. He would definitely give us an added dynamic in regards to aerial threat and direct play.A good backup option right.
