We just had a post confirming that Chelsea are indeed considering an Essien loan, and now Dan Levene has a little more for us. Levene is one of the best in the business, so when he says something it's worth noting. Take it away Dan:
RDM confirmed he left Michael Essien out of his side tonight because of a possible loan deal. No word on club. But am hearing NOT Arsenal.

Well this is interesting, no? The idea of Michael Essien heading out on loan to get regular minutes doesn't sound nearly so bad if it's not to Arsenal, does it? I'm sure many would still rather keep the Bison, but if Levene is correct at least he won't be heading to a direct rival. At this rate, there will probably be a new Essien post up before you can manage to click refresh. Hooray for deadline day!
