You'll forgive us, I trust, if we seem to be talking about Eden Hazard more than is strictly necessary. As a Chelsea fan, it's difficult to write anything that isn't "EDEN HAZARD" followed up by a half dozen exclamation points any time I get near the keyboard. We were told he'd need an adjustment period, but as far as I can tell the only adjusting he needs to do is to drop down a few gears so as to avoid embarrassing everyone else.
Anyway, about the note -- with four assists (Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres), one goal and two penalties won, Hazard has contributed significantly to seven of the eight goals Chelsea have scored this season. Since everyone else has played one fewer match than Chelsea, let's do this on a per game basis: Hazard contributes to around 2.3 goals per match.
Now let's compare that to other Premier League teams:
Swansea City: 4
Fulham: 3.5
Manchester City: 3
Eden Hazard: 2.3
Everton: 2
West Bromwich Albion: 2
Manchester United: 1.5
Reading: 1.5
Wigan Athletic: 1
Newcastle United: 1
Stoke City: 1
Tottenham Hotspur: 1
Southampton: 1
West Ham United: 0.5
Norwich City: 0.5
Queens Park Rangers: 0.5
Aston Villa: 0.5
Arsenal: 0
Sunderland: 0
Liverpool: 0
Eden Hazard! He's having a good week.
