We found out earlier that Chelsea have had a bid for Victor Moses accepted, so it was only a matter of time until we got word that Moses was officially a blue. It's no longer a matter of time, as the club has officially announced the signing of Victor Moses. Moses joins the Blues on a five year deal and will likely be available for selection for the first time for next week's Super Cup.
Moses should provide some cover for Fernando Torres and Daniel Sturridge in the center of the attack, and he'll also likely see a fair amount of time on the wing. It seems likely that he'll be gone for a month this winter, as Nigeria will almost certainly be using Moses in the ACoN. He'll qualify as "homegrown" under FA rules and "association trained" under UEFA rules. He does not count as a U21 player this season, so he'll occupy a slot on Chelsea's 25 man roster. We will have the official announcement from the club and Victor's squad number for you as soon as it's announced. Welcome to Chelsea Victor Moses, hopefully you get the minutes you need to show what you can do.
