Sky Sports is reporting that one of my favourite ex-Blues (I dare say it is the same for many of you top) is set to join Boss-man at Loftus Road. It's a transfer that makes little sense to me anyway, and I can't say I wish him the best because I really don't like that club. Should be interesting to see how he does back in the Prem now, at the age of 34. It's also an interesting move because he'll he partnering Anton Ferdinand, and I'm sure that JT and Riccy still get on very well.
While on the topic of QPR's summer transfers, I have to say that they baffle me. Especially when I've read many people writing about how they've made great signings. But they seem to have gone in the opposite way to many Premier League clubs, by signing players who may have been great 5 or so years ago, for large salaries on free transfers. These are the ones that confuse me, especially as they make up the large majority of their signings.
Ryan Nelsen - Tottenham - free
Andy Johnson - Fulham - free
Rob Green - West Ham - free
Park JS - Manchester United - undisclosed
Jose Bosingwa - Chelsea - free
This is all to similar an approach to the one Sunderland made last season, signing O'Shea and Brown from United for cheap, and things didn't exactly work out. Experienced players from bigger clubs just don't seem to have the desire to fight for a relegation fighting club, no matter what they will be earning, and if I was a Rangers fan, I'd be deeply worried.
