Sam Walker spent all of last season out on loan, and he was generally impressive in the process. It seemed logical that he'd be heading out on loan again this fall, and sure enough he will be. The news broke this morning that Walker will be joining Bristol Rovers until January. I guess that means we'll be watching some League 2 games this fall.

Like last year, Walker is not assured to be the first choice keeper at his temporary club. He'll again have a very good chance to earn that distinction though, as 1st choice keeper Scott Bevan has been having issues recovering from off-season wrist surgery. Walker will step in as the 1st choice keeper for the time being, but will likely have to play well to assure that he continues to start once Bevan returns.
