We need to get sharp.... But how??

People are saying that the Community Shield final wasn't a big deal to win. Well guess what, before that game every single one of us was excited and ready for our first official game plus it never hurts to add one more silverware to our trophy collection. We were defeated, so please accept the defeat and stay calm because we have a whole season to look forward to.
In my opinion, Manchester City was the better side so let's have a look why there were able to defeat us and what can we do to defeat them in the coming up season.

Let's start with Manchester City.

I think that there line-up was pretty dangerous and seeing there key striker Carlos Tevez back in action could be dangerous next season. Nasri played very well and so did Milner and Tevez, and keeping in mind that there playmaker David Silva wasn't there for full 90 minutes but he made a good impact when he came on. City had more possession good counter attacking rate. At the end of the day, City was the better side and looked more sharp and confident in that game and aswell as in the pre-season friendlies.

Now let's have a look at Chelsea's performance.

We were great in the first half, Hazard looked good and Lampard was strong in the mid-field but the key moment in the game was Ivanovic getting the red card, in my opinion it was a yellow. Iam not gonna go in details for that topic so let's get on with other stuff. I wasn't pleased with Mikel's performance, he's not at his best and i wonder what is keeping him away from that? He was really slow in that game and looked tired, we can't afford that when we are playing against a side like Manchester City. Torres was really good, he made a couple of really good runs despite being fouled or tackled, but he got sloppy and lost the ball couple of times too. Ramires was great, making those quick and fast runs from the wing and had good shots at the goal aswell. Wasn't pleased with David Luiz's performance, i think he's not that interested in defending compared to shooting the ball and getting forward with it. He was late getting back to his position when he's forward and made a couple of bad tackles. Terry was good despite the clearance that caused us a goal but he had good tackles as always and defended well.

We need to get sharp and active, we can't afford bad passes, giving away the ball, poor defending and bad tackles. I think Oscar will make a huge impact in Chelsea's midfield, providing accurate passes, great finishes and loves to be all around the field to help other players and not being selfish. And that's what we need. Let's have a example from our subs, Sturidge and Bertrand. I'am surprised how people call Sturidge selfish but never look at his performance in his games plus he did great in Olympics, right when him and Bertrand came on, everyone was active again, Sturidge made a good impact and he deserves to be in Starting XI, Bertrand was sharp and active and i think he will be a good future player. We need younger, sharper, quicker, faster and active players on the field.

Do we still need a striker?

I think Yes.Yes, Torres was good in the game, Yes he scored a goal, Yes he made great runs, but, one game doesn't prove anything, i would love to see Torres be the highest goal scorer in EPL but he still lacks confident and he needs to prove his true worth, he's not at his best. So i think a striker would be a great addition just to be on the safe side and off course, we defiantly need a right back, since Ivanovic have a red card and Bosingwa is no longer a part of us so a right back in definitely needed.
