So according to the Mirror, we have him, for £9 million.
I'll be honest, I haven't a clue if the Mirror is a particularly reliable source. The article does speak of the move as a done deal but seems as if it could be squirming out of stating it in the headline, anyway, enough analysis of the piece, it seems to have happened. And I for one am pretty happy with it; everyone knows we've needed to fill a striker/right wing spot for a while and more so following the recent loan of Lukaku to West Brom (pretty swift work from RDM), and that's what we've done, and pretty importantly, not for another hefty price tag. Yes, it could have been a bit less then 9 million but it's definitely a bargain compared to a massive signing for a player like Hulk, who, while adding more in attacking options than Moses, is unnecessary with our current players for those positions. However, I could easily be being overly optimistic about Torres' abilities in the coming season. Back to Victor Moses, he's not just a cheap fix (comparatively speaking) but a quality young attacker with pace and proven in the English leagues.
Anyway, what do you guys think? Good signing? Right price? And will he be just a squad player or does anyone think he'll get a decent amount of games?
Neeww here, thought I'd let you know.
