It seems that it would be a perfect fit: Sturridge at Tottenham. They wouldn't necessarily need to sign a player like Adebayor who is asking for wages of £120k+ per week. Sturridge is also a young english player so there is an extra incentive there over many other young players.
There are a lot of people who would be happy for Sturridge to be sold this summer (myself included) as there are the issues of contract, pecking order, attitude etc.. wont go into them in this thread. So all of those 'haters' would probably relish him being used in a deal to bring Modric, but what about the people that want us to keep him. Would you still want to keep him if it meant us risking not getting Modric? Would you be happy to see a Sturridge + £25 million for Modric or is that valuing Sturridge to high or low or you don't want to see him gone at any cost?
