I am just curious to hear what the community thinks our optimal starting XI would be? Here's mine!
I was thinking we could go with either our normal 4-2-3-1 with this group
------Torres-------
Mata--Hazard--Rami
Lampard--Oscar
Cole-Terry-Luiz-Bran
With this you could even switch Rami and Oscar. Even Mata and Hazard aswell!
My next one is a bit unique and something a little bit different!
What about the christmas Tree? Have it look something like this!
-----------Torres------------
-----Hazard---Mata-----
Marin---Oscar---Ramires
Cole-Terry-Luiz--Bran
Now obviously some of these leave us a little weak defensively but when i say Optimal, i guess i mean the top ATTACKING XI that we could field. I think the tree gives us a little protection on the flanks with Rami on the right. This would of course depend on Marins ability to track back and help defend. But with Ashley Cole still being one of the beat defending LBs in the world im confident this could work. There would be a bit of a weakness up the middle with the lack of a pure CDM though. The best thing about this formation to me is the ability to let Mata and Hazard play together behind Torres and constantly switch sides and interchange. I doubt RDM will ever employ this but its fun to speculate none the less! What do you guys think?
