Let's assume the starting XI will be:

Cech, Iva, Cahill, Terry, Cole; Mikel; Ramires;Oscar, Mata, Hazard; Torres.

Now, we have a starting XI, here's how our bench should line up:

Turnbull, Apzilicueta (Providing we sign him), Luiz, Bertrand, Lampard, Marin, Sturridge.

Here lies the problem, where will this leave Essien, Meireles, Romeu, McEachran and others. None of these players will be happy with not being in the squad.

Do we sell them?

In my opinion, we should sell a few. Yossi, Malouda and Meireles and possibly Ferreira, although he has been a faithful servant over the years. However, I am unsure on Essien, in the recent game against PSG, he was very good. The next few pre-season games will make the final decision on him. McEachran and Lukaku to go on loan along with De Bruyne and Kakuta.

After these sales and loans, we still don't have room for any more signings, unless some surprise departures are in the working. Lampard recently not ruling out any possibilities (MLS). Sturridge is in the final year of his contract, will he go?

So, before saying lets buy Hulk, Lewandowski, Schurrle, Willian and Moses. Think about who will leave for them to come in.

Many of these unanswered questions will soon be answered. I am certainly not envious of Chelsea management team as they will have many hard decisions to make in the upcoming weeks.
