So Torres has now joined up with the rest of the team(do i hear a yay!) and i thought it would be fun to look at the role he has and why i think next season will be his(aren't they all anyway?)

I watched Torres keenly during the Euros when Spain weren't playing their 4-6-0 and i noticed a few things:

• He does not offer a lot in terms of possession and keeping the ball(thats not his job anyway)
• He still possesses great pace
• He plays best when playing off defenders
• He is best served when he has players behind him that can spot a pass
• He has cute kids

Now we all know that Torres possesses phenomenal speed and is/was a world class finisher(i don't know anymore) and i think making use of his strengths would be the best way forward.With the new arrivals, i think thats what we are aiming to achieve.From our preseason matches so far, we're going to play direct football with pressing high up the pitch,and for someone like Torres who likes to run the channels,getting goalscoring opportunities should become much easier.

Last season,Torres drifted out wide and tried to help create chances but with Hazard/Marin/Mata/Oscar his job just got much easier.Torres playing off the defenders with the service of the aforementioned players should assure him at least of a 20 goal haul in my opinion.
