There have been some reports this morning that Chelsea are after yet another Belgian. L'Equipe isn't always the best source of news, but they are reporting this morning that we're interested in adding the younger brother of Eden Hazard to the mix at Chelsea. While they don't note where they got this information, they imply that the younger Hazard has already made his intentions to join the blues when his contract expires known to the club's hierarchy.
On the surface there doesn't appear to be enough fact in L'Equipe's "report" to make this worthy of a post, but RC Lens are in a bad financial state and a sale of their most valuable asset could go a long way towards alleviating some of that pressure. Chelsea have also shown an increasing willingness to add multiple players from the same family in order to make the transition to life in London easier, and Hazard very much fits the youth movement we've been seeing from the club in recent windows. While I don't really think there's too much to the idea that we've got this more or less done and dusted, it wouldn't surprise me at all if their is legitimate interest in this move from both sides. I wouldn't get your hopes up that there is anything to this, but I guess it's one more name to watch.
