Now that the terry trial is over, we can get back to talks of getting rid of the old guard. We've been bringing in and linked to all sorts of attacking players, so it would make some real sense that a few of the older ones would be making their way out the door. There are reports for us today about Florent Malouda, who has been rumored to be on his way to Brazil for some time. According to a vice president at Santos, Malouda and the club have already had "informal talks".

Santos would seem a suitable destination for the Frenchman, as they are one of the better and richer clubs in Brazil at the moment. Whether or not they'd be getting any sort of fee from Chelsea is a bit of a doubt, but forming any sort of relationship with the club would certainly be worth letting an unwanted part go for little to nothing. At this point there is nothing but speculation here, but it's really appearing likely that Malouda has played his last game in England. We'll keep our eyes open, and let you all know when we hear more.
