The last few days have been something, haven't they? There's all sorts of talk of Oscar, Andre Schurrle, and of Maicon. Now Sky Sports comes out with a report of an English club making a "substantial" offer for Salomon Rondon. According to Manuel Pelligrini (Malaga):
Rondon has had substantial offers from both Germany and England. To stay here, to have time to demonstrate his worth, it has been important to Malaga and hopefully we can have him for longer. It is difficult to know what will happen.
Chelsea would make the most sense as an English club who would have enough interest to put in a "substantial" offer. They have money, have a need for depth at center forward, and have already been denied in their pusuit of Oliver Giroud.
Most of you probably know that I'm a big fan of the idea of adding Rondon, so from a personal standpoint I'm really hoping Chelsea are in on him. We'll certainly be watching for more news on this one, and we'll make sure to keep you abreast of anything we hear.
