Yesterday i was asked this question by one of my friends, that who would i prefer between schweinsteiger and modric if they were available for the same price, and to be honest, i havent been able to make up my mind till now so i just wanted to know what you people have to say about it.

For me they both are very identical players, both are deep lying playmakers, good on the ball, have an extreme range of passing ability, both are able to control the midfield and are also good at carrying out their defensive duties and both are pretty good at dead ball situations as well.

Seeing that RDM prefers 4-2-3-1 as his formation, and these 2 players fit perfectly in this type of formation as one of the midfielders in the double pivot and provide the link between the defence and the attack which was sorely missed in the last season.

Both these players are almost the same age with schweinsteiger 27 and modric 26. If i have to choose any one of these 2, i might just slightly sway towards schweinsteiger because i personally think that he is better at defence than modric, but thats my opinion. I would love to see what you people have to say about this.

P.S :- I had to copy and paste schweinsteiger everytime i used his name, cause of the obvious reasons ;)
