LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 02: Dries Mertens of Belgium clashes with Gary Cahill of England during the international friendly match between England and Belgium at Wembley Stadium on June 2, 2012 in London, England. (Photo by Shaun Botterill/Getty Images)
The friendly between England and Belgium at Wembley Stadium isn't really looking so friendly right now. We're getting fouls aplenty from both sides, but the most damaging so far has been Dries Mertens against the combination of Gary Cahill and Joe Hart - the PSV Eindhoven man shoved Cahill into Hart and caused a rather nasty looking collision that forced the centre back off for Joleon Lescott.
Initial word was that the injury wasn't serious enough to warrant an x-ray for the Chelsea man, but, apparently, initial word was wrong:

It'd be a massive shock if this had any impact on Chelsea's season whatsoever, and I'd guess it's unlikely that it affects England's Euro 2012 campaign either. Still, it's a situation to keep an eye on - hopefully Cahilll will be passed fit and be able to play in the group stages.
