Tonight's poll is one that's just for fun. Messi and Ronaldo are quite easily the two best players on the planet at the moment. They probably play for the two clubs in the world least likely to sell. While I'm sure any of us here would happily welcome either to Stamford Bridge, I'm going to propose an interesting question. If you had the ability to add one or the other (but not both) for exactly the same fee and wages, which one would you select?

There are pros and cons to either player. Messi is generally regarded by the media as the better of the two. Ronaldo is easily the more physically gifted player, clearly one of the best raw athletes on the planet. Ronaldo has developed quite the reputation for diving, Messi seems to have somehow escaped that despite doing so to a lesser extent. Both can clearly win games by themselves, and while Messi is the more consistent player, he's also potentially more likely to struggle with a different system (although I say "struggle" in a relative sense here). Ronaldo holds a clear edge in the overall desire to punch in the mouth, although lately Messi has been "improving" in that regard. So who would you choose? Vote in the poll and discuss away...
