Following the acquisition of Marko Marin, Chelsea have been linked with André Schürrle another young German prospect. Schürrle 21, plays as a striker for Bayer Leverkusen and can play both centrally and out wide. Standing at 6 ½ feet he is a great aerial threat and good at hold up play. Some of you might remember him when Chelsea played Leverkusen earlier in the Champions League.

Considering the overall form of Chelsea’s strikers and the lack of goals Schürrle would be a great acquisition at around 15 million pounds considering the impending FFP rules and the price of other strikers, i.e. Cavani, Falcao etc. Additionally it would be great to see new signing Marin link up with a fellow German and cut through oppositions defense.
