We are in dire need of a Central midfielder whose creative as well as defensively brilliant, and I think Yaya Toure fits the bill perfectly.

He's defensively great, has an amazing creativity, brilliant in positioning and does not give the ball away at all. Seeing our options of an inconsistent John Obi Mikel, who gives away possesion too easily, a certain Michael Essien whose looked out of form lately and Raul Meriles.

Now that Lamps won't be getting that much action because of his age and add to the fact that our recent buys,the likes of Marin,KDB, and hopefully(Please!) Hazard, are pretty weak defensively. Playing them would only be viable if you have a good back 4 and a good CDM. Playing Toure with Lamps would be a real treat with Mata and Eden helping out Torres. Yaya would add the much needed depth to the squad and being physically strong, he's pretty good aerially too. Plus his agent already said he wants out of City. Would be a pretty reasonable buy for a top player. Total win situation. Check this video of him in his prime.
