As Eden Hazard looked on, waiting to make his choice, all that was missing were the dulcet tones of Sir David Attenborough to narrate the showdown of the two alpha males.
Eden Hazard either has a really, really good agent (which we had surmised before) or he is just very skilled in the art of trolling Premier League football teams.
The highly coveted (understatement!) winger/attacker was apparently spotted in the city of Manchester on Monday, attending the Big Match. This coming less than 24 hours after being involved in his current team's fixture is certainly interesting and is ripe for speculation. It's not like his son-in-law was playing and I'm sure he could have just as easily watched the game on some French TV channel.
Of course, this is just the latest stop in Hazard's flights of fancy: he has been linked with every non-Newcastle team in the Top 6 in the past three months! In February it was mostly about Spurs, while later on he talked up both Arsenal and Manchester United. And then just last week, Roberto Mancini was sending him public love letters, calling him a "perfect fit" for City...that coming after rumors of a deal involving Kevin de Bruyne and Chelsea starting floating about.
Conveniently for the 21-year-old, he could get both sets of fans' tongues wagging by attending City's 1-0 victory in person. One thing is for sure, though...he will end up somewhere in England next season:
My objective is to go to the Premier League, because I have had my time in France. [...] Maybe in the future I will return to France, but for now I am concentrating on finishing the season with Lille to the best of my ability and then going to England.

Well, at least as sure as you can ever be with these things.
