Chelsea's Academy player Nathan Aké won the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship defeating Germany on penalties. Aké captained his national team and scored a PK. This is the Netherlands second consecutive Euro U17 Championship. They won it last year in Serbia defeating Germany 5-2.
Congratulations to Aké and the whole Netherlands U17 squad. Seems the Netherlands youth teams are working very well. Or at least the U17's. Let's see if they can make it three in a row next year at Slovakia.
Honorific mention to Tonny Trindade de Vilhena. He scored 2 goals in last year final and scored a pk in this year's final. He was an important player for the Netherlands U17 winning championships. He is only 17 and has played already 7 matches with Feyenoord's first team. He debuted this year on January 22 against VVV-Venlo. Very promising player Tonny Trindade. I wish Arsenal or Atleti sign him. Or even Chelsea. He is gonna be a very good player in the near future.
