Oh hey it's the Luka Modric transfer rumour again. I sure couldn't have predicted that happening:
I will decide about my future after the Euros.I will make the decision where to continue my career. I'm ready for the big tests.

If you were following Chelsea's dealings over the summer you'll know that the Blues were after him for months but couldn't manage to pry him out of Tottenham Hotspur's hands. I'm of the opinion that Chelsea would have been in the top four easily with Modric running things from midfield last year - he's obviously a brilliant player and would have helped us a lot had we managed to land him.
But he may not be worth pursuing further. The club only has a limited amount of cash to spend, I assume, and Modric is 27 years old and surely won't come cheap. He'd obviously be a huge upgrade, but I have absolutely zero interest in a protracted transfer saga involving the Croatian again this summer. But if Chelsea manage to knock Spurs out of the Champions League on Saturday, and we get something done fast (and for relatively cheap) I don't think I'd be able to find too much to complain about.
But yeah, that's not happening. This one will drag on all summer and then nothing will come of it, I'm guessing.
