The Chelsea FC website had an interview with David Luiz up today in which the defender shared a few thoughts about his hamstring injury. While nothing was guaranteed, Luiz seems to feel he'll be ready for the upcoming game:

It [the injury] is improving now and I am feeling better day by day. On the pitch I am more comfortable and I want to play football. My place is on the pitch, not outside it. I wanted to play against Barcelona and I wanted to play the FA Cup Final, but now I have one more game more special than all the others and for this I think and I hope that on Saturday I play against Munich.

That's certainly good news for Chelsea fans, but it would be even better if Gary Cahill were to be declared fit for the final as well. With Cahill and Luiz manning the center of the defense, Chelsea probably have as good a squad as Bayern Munich will have available to run out on Saturday. Without those two, it may be an utter disaster. Rest up David, we certainly need you.
