The headline might indicate that this would be another post about Chelsea's senior stars, and how their performances in this season's Champions League shows that its somehow written in the stars for them to win it as their last big chance with this generation of players. But this is just a short post (because im tired) about how history could repeat itself and lead us to CL glory... Fate.

Atletico Madrid clinched the UEFA Europa League in 2009/2010 by beating fulham 2-1 in the final, with two goals from star striker Diego Forlan. They replicated this again today, in the 2011/2012 Europa League final by beating Athletic Bilbao 3-0 courtesy of 2 goals from star striker Radamel Falcao.

Blackpool claimed promotion to the FA Premier League by beating Cardiff 3-2 in Wembley in the final of the 2009/2010 Championship play-off Final. Tonight Blackpool claimed their place in the final of the play-offs with a 3-2 aggregate win over Birmingham to set up a date with West Ham for a chance to gain promotion to the Premier League once again, on the 19th of May 2012.

Bayern Munich matched up against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League Final of 2009/2010 season. They lost. They once again made the Champions League final, with the chance win it on May the 19th playing against Chelsea.

...The last time Atletico Madrid won the Europa League, Blackpool gained promotion to the Premier League and Bayern Munich lost the Champions League Final.
