MADRID, SPAIN - APRIL 25: Head coach Jupp Heynckes of FC Bayern Munich speaks with Bastian Schweinsteiger of Bayern Munich as players take a drink during the UEFA Champions League Semi Final second leg between Real Madrid CF and Bayern Munich at The Bernabeu Stadium on April 25, 2012 in Madrid, Spain. I hope everyone was watching that game, because it was a belter. Real Madrid went up 2-0 early on, before Arjen Robben scored a penalty to bring Bayern Munich level on aggregate 27 minutes in. After the first half-hour, you'd have been surprised to see the game end 2-1, but it did, and neither could score in extra time either. That meant penalty kicks!

Manuel Neuer and Iker Casillas both came up with two big saves, but Sergio Ramos blasted well over, giving Bastian Schweinsteiger the chance to win it. He did, and Chelsea's Champions League final opponent is now set - we'll be playing against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on May 19th.

Oh, and if you're counting, Bayern have three players suspended now. Left back David Alaba, centre half Holger Badstuber and holding midfielder Luiz Gustavo picked up yellows, meaning that their team's going to look as patchwork as ours. Fun times.

Oh, and it was quite nice to watch a penalty shootout where the prize was a chance to play against us!
