- Mourinho. Guardiola is not coming to Chelsea, and in all fairness I don’t see him working with Abramovich at all. Meanwhile Mourinho, who’s been far from settled in Real Madrid, might think of returning to the club to finish some business with or without winning the European title for Los Blancos.
- A wiser board. I’m not talking about revamping it, but making it more sensible to the fans. Doing decisions such as hiring Benitez who was knowingly hated by most part of Chelsea fan base (or at least the part of them who really cares about the club) is wrongdoing in the worst possible way. It’s like a top Pepsico executive drinking Coca-Cola in a board meeting.
- Recognize mistakes and don’t be stubborn. Torres is one of them. Cutting him would be disgraceful as his wages are still on our books, but keeping him might be as bad. Having someone that should be assured of having a starting spot as striker in one of the biggest teams in the world while having no competition and working with the coach that "knows him the most" isn't the most healthy thing to do in a club.
- Youth is great, but balance is needed. Becoming a kindergarten team with 3 under-23 years old players leading the attack is hurting the team. In the long run, the young folks will turn out great, but you can’t expect to win anything with kids. An occasional Falcao or Lahm along those guys can’t hurt the books much.
- Minions are still minions. We need more bosses, more Bowsers, more players who will be physical, capable of holding the ball and taking off opposite players while still having technique. We miss the likes of Essien, Ballack, and even Meireles a few times as Mikel and Ramires as a pair are unfortunately unable to do so.
- Do not try to become Barcelona. This is England. This is the Premier League. Barça don’t have to face Stoke twice per season.
- Just for emphasis: don’t hire Benitez again and don't keep Torres – two goals against Sunderland or not.
