With the year ending in a few hours (in Europe) i started thinking about this year 2012 and what happened in it for Chelsea FC.

I ended up with a couple key moments and i thought i would share my top 5 CFC moments of 2012 so i could have yours and we could see which were the top moments of a great year for Chelsea.

When the year started, we weren't in a good time after the home defeat to Aston Villa at the end of a horrible December, a couple months later we were lifting the Champions league trophy for the first time ever a couple weeks after winning the F.A. Cup (aka Chelsea Cup) once again. The year is ending much better than it started as we are on a great run with a couple back to back wins. Despite missing out on a couple "easy trophies" such as the Club World Cup, The Carling cup last year, the Super Cup, and finishing 6th in the league, i consider it a great year for Chelsea. Most of that is due to our historic Champions League win so most of my key moments are from this competition :

Number 1 : The return leg of the Napoli Champions league games, the best performance we had in a while. With the old guard showing what they could do !

Number 2 : Eliminating Barcelona from the CL was just incredible ! With the Torres goal ending a game of big big stress for most Chelsea supporters.

Number 3 : Winning the Champions league following a hard game with Didier Drogba once again showing all of his power.

Number 4 : The Chelsea win at the Emirates with a Torres goal. This is when i started feeling like we were as good as both Manchester teams, and one of the first games where Torres (who is meant to be our new Didier) scored to make us win an important game.

Number 5 : The Aston Villa 8-0 trashing. It is still fresh in our memories but that game was a old school Chelsea game. Back when teams came at the Bridge hoping not to let 6,7,8 goals in !

So many more moments were incredible including our run in the FA Cup with the 5-1 against Tottenham standing out besides the final, the Shaktar home game where the Victor Moses goal made all of us jump all over the place.
