It is no secret that Chelsea's weakest area is our strikers depth and quality. With a subpar Torres, and a "selfish" Sturridge, can we really defend the Champions league and compete in the Premier League with these two alone? Well I don't think so! We are in desperate need of a top quality center forward. One that can change the game as efficiently as the proven Ibrahimovic's, Falcao's, RVP's, Benzema's and Messi's of this world.

Yea it will be nice to have any of these great finishers in front of our dynamic trio of Mata, Hazard, and Oscar. But let’s be real, they are either too expensive, or completely unavailable. So, what next? Who next? Have you ever heard the name Wilfried Bony? Well if you have not he plays for Vitesse Arnhem. Yep, that Vitesse; our Dutch and Eredivisie friends! Of recent our connection to Vitesse have been quite good, we have sent a few players across there on loan. Those players have come to make Vitesse stronger and become stalwarts in their match day squads.

So why don't we use our great connection with Vitesse and bring in Bony. Why? What does he offer? Lets look at the stats. In the 2010/2011 season Bony scored an impressive 8 goals in 13 appearances for Vitesse. In 2011/2012 he scored 18 from 36 appearances. And how is he shaping up this season? He has 12 goals from 11 appearances. In front of goal he is getting better and better with time.

He is deadly in front of goal. In terms of speed and trickery, he is surely very impressive in this area. He is also a very good header of the ball. How this guy is not at one of the bigger clubs in world football I don't know. But at only 23, this Ivory Coast national will surely be a footballing great. The question is: for whom? With our great connection to Vitesse we should really pull out all the stubs for this one, because I am sure Chelsea can get him at a very fair and reasonable price. And as we speak now, he is definitely better than both Sturridge and Torres. Do I think he can help us retain the Champions league and win the Premier league? I most definitely do!
