So instead of bashing torres like everyone else has been doing (and rightly so) i decided to look at some stats for his career so far. I'll begin with his third season at atletico madrid as the data was not available for the previous two seasons

Finally i decided to compare torres's this season with van persie this season and as expected every stat is better for van persie except the shot accuracy.

Well what I think I wanted to prove here was that Torres always needed a large number of shots to score a goal meaning that if he doesn't get at least 5 shots in a game he might not score.
