Wednesday friendly open thread: Hooray for friendlies!

Stay connected for news and updates

Yawn - Thomas Kienzle

Want absolutely meaningless football to talk about? You're in luck!

There are some not very important games going on today, but as there are Chelsea players involved, we'll give you a thread to discuss them anyway. The usual teams will be worth following, Spain, England, Brazil and Belgium all have notable Chelsea participants. Tomas Kalas may also get a debut today for the Czech Republic, a game that is already underway.

As always with friendlies, the hope will be that none of our players sustain an injury or plays enough to become fatigued for the weekend. Josh McEachran suffered a bit of a scare on Tuesday, but the Middlesbrough coaching staff indicated this morning that he'll be available for selection over the weekend.

There has also been some concern about Eden Hazard, but he appears to be healthy enough to play if needed. STill, I'd prefer he be left out of the match entirely, as Kevin De Bruyne is more than capable of filling in for Hazard. As always, please don't link to illegal streams, and keep things civil. Yay for meaningless games!
