Center back Jores Okore did a great job of taking Victor Moses and Fernando Torres out of the game on Tuesday, even after suffering a head injury that required stitches in the opening minutes of the game. As it turns out, he's a Chelsea fan.

Not too many Chelsea fans had heard of Jores Okore before last night, but after Chelsea's 4-0 victory over FC Nordsjaelland I doubt there were too many people who don't know the name. Okore had the following to say about playing against Chelsea:

"Of course they are a great team, which they showed, but I was just focusing on my assignments and, to be fair, I think I did pretty well."

You certainly did Jores, that one game was probably enough that just about every club in Europe will be keeping tabs on you very closely for the remainder of the Champions league. I have a feeling that there's a little bit of a raise coming in your future.

So where would Okore want to end up when he gets that raise? Ironically enough, it turns out he's a Chelsea fan:

"Hopefully I proved I have what it takes to play in a competition like the Premier League, which is one of the best leagues in the world. So hopefully I can play in England someday. Chelsea are my favorite team and I would love to play for them in the future. Every player dreams of playing for Chelsea and I am no exception."

This is pretty exciting for me, because I can certainly remember a time just ten years or so ago when it would be almost impossible to find players who grew up dreaming of playing for Chelsea. Now, it seems like we hear about a new one every couple of weeks. Regardless of whether or not Chelsea ever seriously consider Okore, it's nice to hear that he's got good taste. That said, I'll be keeping an eye on Okore for the rest of the season, as he looks to be a very good young defender.
