Are Spurs Going To Bite The Milos Krasic Bullet For Us?

Milos Krasic spits up a football.

Earlier this window, there were entirely too many rumours linking Chelsea with Juventus winger Milos Krasic for my liking. Although Krasic has a flashy reputation and blistering speed, he's deficient in many aspects of the game (including the key 'being better than Salomon Kalou' thing), and I'd quite like those rumours to go away entirely. That won't happen until Juve dump him on someone - a move the Serie A leaders are apparently desperate to make.

Star-divide

Up step Spurs to potentially take one for the team:

Krasic is one of the many names that the transfer market offers, but a successful negotiation will depend on the will of the player. We are happy with our squad. We could do something, though, if a player leaves in the coming hours. Anything is possible.

-Tottenham coach Joe Jordan. Source: Sky Sports.

There's some speculation that the disappointing Steven Pienaar could be on his way out of White Hart Lane, and that would open up space for Krasic to back up Aaron Lennon on the right wing. Although Spurs have obviously got some huge talent on the flanks, their depth is pretty poor there and Krasic might actually be a useful (if incredibly annoying to watch) piece for them, so long as he isn't relied upon.

The piece goes on to say that Juventus have fielded interest from Spurs, Lazio and Zenit St. Petersburg. I'm just glad that 'Chelsea' weren't named anywhere in there. Krasic at a top-level team is a recipe for frustration.

PS: Watch this happen and Krasic turn into a superstar just to annoy me.

I really liked the idea of a Krasic loan

At the very least he’s a very different player than what we already have. Could be a useful guy to sub in when we need a new look.

Me too

Although I can’t say I watched him loads, he seems like his pace would be pretty useful especially in this league.

But every time I watched him he was out shined by Honda :-) speaking of which Graham or/and Stephen, don’t you think Honda would be a great addition? I mean seeing him go to Lazio for dirt cheap money makes me sad..

Hmmm ok

Thought fee and everything was agreed, in terms of him fitting at Chelsea do you think he would be a good addition??

I wouldn't be too happy...

…if they sign him and he puts in a storming 2nd half of the season. This has the makings of a VdV deal for me. A loan wouldn’t be too much of a risk IMO.

Van der Vaart?

What has he got to do with Krasic? I dont see any similarities at all.

The one is a pacy winger the other a creative/inventive midfielder.

???

I didn’t say they were similar types of player! I meant that he could potentially have a similar impact to Spurs as the VdV signing did…

VdV wasn't a great player at all in La Liga

He wasn’t even a regular starter. In that sense it would be comparable to buying low on VdV.

By your logic Robben and Sneijder aren't great players as well.

He was one of the best players in Germany and Holland and a well known midfielder here in Europe. He is one of the most technically gifted players from Holland.

That some people in England didn't know him very well

Does not mean he wasn’t a quality player before he joined the Spurs. He was recognized by clubs in Europe as one of Hollands finest players. There is a reason Madrid bought him. He was an absolute genius at his time in HSV.

Madrid then bought Kaka and Özil. Ofcourse he is going to get less time on the pitch. Even Mourinho to this day would love to have Van der Vaart in his team. He talkeda bout the Kaka/Özil/Van der Vaart situation alot.

It would be similar that Spurs bought from a large European club

Would get him on the cheap and then the player turned out to be very good. Although in this case Krasic becoming very good is very unlikely.
