Righ back problems and the soluton. Enter Van Der Wiel

Firstly this is my first post on We ain't got no history but i have being reading the fans post's for a long time now and decided today to join.

According to the daily mail VDW is the latest in the january transfer window to be linked with Chelsea. This Speculation has lead to this Chelsea Fan Drooling at the prospect of consecutive clean sheets. Chelsea's defensive problems have being well documented this season RB has being the positon which has mainly being documented this season and in previous seasons it has also being a problem area, with Micheal Essien having to deputise at RB on more than one occasion. Jose Bosingwa however good an attacking threat he serves he is to prone to defensive mishaps. On more than one occasion this season he has being exploited and left David Luiz exposed way more than a CB should be.

Ivanovic However is an exellent defender but lacks the pace and stamina to keep with some of the more talented wide men of the Premier league. Not only has Nani and Agbonlahor to name a few, got the better of him on a few accasions the quality of his crosses and his confidence to charge down the flank to take on a defender has always being questioned, As it should be he has spent the majority of his career as a CB, crossing and dribbiling is not a skill set required for a CB and personally i think his potential and his confidence has being hindered because of playing out of his natural position.

I do however think that VDW could indeed be the solution to chelsea's defensive problems and i would love to see him wear blue this weekend. VDW is extremely athletic and has lung busting stamina enough so he'd be able to leave a track in the pitch from his constant running, and he is as comfortable on the ball as you’d expect from someone schooled by de Godenzonen (an academy that still preaches total football). VDW has 2 goals and 4 assists this season to back up his attacking prowess. On a defensive note VDW can sometimes in a positional sense has being caught out. Mainly at the world cup however he was reletively inexperienced internationally at the time. however his speed and stamina more than make up for this and he is not afraid of a challenge. I think many would agree in saying he was one of the unsung heros of the netherlands world cup campaign.

To conclude unless AVB brings in a natural RB within the transfer deadline we will struggle to make champions league places for next season. I also think if chelsea don't make champions league places they will struggle to bring in some of the quality talent that they normally would attract e.g Eden Hazard, Cavani, Hamsik or Modric all who have being linked with chelsea but who personally i think will only go to a club promised of a possible european winners medal. If AVB is to maintain his youthful revolution at chelsea i think VDW fits the bill.

Van dier Wiel

is NOTHING better than Bosingwa at defending. Saying that he will fix our defensive problems is ridiculous! This boy can’t defend for his life. He has never heard of positioning and does everything on his pace. He isnt good at anticipating as well. And we all know how horrible Bosingwa is at crossing right? Van dier Wiel is even worse.

He can’t even defend against the horrible wingers from the Eredivisie. Even struggles against sides like FC Utrecht and FC Groningen. How do you think he will do against players like Sessegnon and Bale? lol

Ironically, our defense has played much better as of late

We’ve been linked with VdW often before…but I thought he had his heart set on some other destination.

The more I've seen of vdW the less enamoured I am of him

His defensive issues are understated and his attacking ability overstated. He’s not really an upgrade on Bosingwa apart from being younger

Hasn’t Boswinga’s attacking prowess been overstated this season?

Bosingwa's defending is very underrated

OR did you forget about him being CB at White Hart Lane? :P Yes,I take my role of unofficial Bosingwa apologist seriously. ;D

Yes, it is underrated

But it’s still highly shitty.

It’s no coincidence that his best defensive performances have come as an emergency CB and an emergency LB (and the Man City match). Because he actually paid attention and concentrated. Unlike when he plays his customary RB position, where his defense usually amounts to laziness, daydreaming, and/or looking straight ahead without a care of what may be going on around him (aka. no awareness).

For RB I like Andreas Beck

Though I haven’t seen much of him but whatever I have seen I liked.

Bosingwa at Swansea

Some of ye may not have agreed with my post but the evidence their from last night that not only did he head the ball at sinclair to him to finish exquisitly by the way. But in the corner previously he actually tried to head the ball at Cech if anyone Noticed. Swansea Deliberately singled out Bosingwa yesterday along with cole and the got beyond them all night.

Of course that's nonsense.

Sinclair did not beat Bosingwa once yesterday. In fact, outside of his sweet volley, he was largely anonymous and useless.

Atsuto Uchida > Van Der Wiel

Schalke 04 right back. Bundesliga > Eredivisie. Period…. Period.
