Ancelotti: PSG set to sign Alex
We found out yesterday that Alex was in Paris for a medical ahead of his proposed transfer to the Ligue 1 side, so today's confirmation should come as no surprise to most. According to an interview conducted in France, Alex is all set to officially become the newest addition to the Paris St. Germain squad. From Ancelotti himself:
He will be a PSG player. It was a good opportunity given his price and his desire to join PSG
If the rumored 5 million euro price tag is correct it certainly was an excellent value buy for the next several seasons. Alex will likely immediately slip into PSG's starting eleven and help stabilize the club's backline as they make their title push this spring.
I for one will certainly miss Alex going forward. He was a solid backup defender who was certainly capable of starting at a club the size of Chelsea. His free kicks were always a lot of fun to watch, so those will be sorely missed around here. He did tend to get injured an awful lot though, so in that regard I'm glad we've replaced him with someone that misses far less time overall. Best of luck in Paris Alex, give Carlo a big hug from the rest of us.

F*ck you agents
Giving me so many hopes about Alex landing in Brazil to wear a Fluminense. Seriously, go eat a bag of d*cks (and don’t hire Miley Cirus because she does it naturally)

Alex
Heard a comment this morning that suggested that there would have been some doubrt as to if he would pass the medical, and that he was having a tough time running. I assume that is why we would be letting him go.
Or we're letting him go because he requested a transfer
And had been exiled to the wastelands of not-Cobham.
I saw a report that he didn't seem happy at the presser.
That’s slightly concerning.

Apparently it was even more morose than usual.
