Your Thoughts on "B Teams"
What are you're thoughts on the whole AVB and having a B team feeder club, what do you think? Should it be allowed or not? I personally can't decide. The "Chelsea FC B" has sort of a ring to it but I don't know... Barcelona seems to be doing well with their B team, from the fact that they have a lot of talent, Pep debuts a lot of players, plus we got Oriol from that team.
David Moyes from Everton wanted to do the same thing, in an article he said, "I would have liked to have put an Everton reserve team into the Conference because it would have been better football for them..."
What are you're thoughts feel free to share... KTBFFH

As much as I understand the reasons behind it...
…I can’t help but feel it would be a change too far. It would be good for the national team, the club, and the players, but B teams are just not what is done in England. The problem is what to do with the teams who would be in the positions the B teams will take, and which teams will actually have B teams. Part of the reason the English football pyramid is more popular than almost every other league of the same level is that they’re all independent clubs. The fact that some clubs would be pushed down the pyramid by the big clubs’ B teams and that it would make the leagues less popular, and thus lessen revenue makes it a non-starter.

It would be beneficial for the top teams but
It’s not fair on anyone else in the lower leagues. There are jobs that could be lost and teams ended by it. It’d be nice for us but the teams in the lower leagues are there for more than helping Chelsea and United take on Barcelona. It’s a shame because I’d like it to happen on a very selfish level. It never will.
Likewise, it would be good for the English national team, but it would...
…hurt English football. The league system as it is is a cornerstone of football in England, so to suddenly throw B Teams into it would just be too big a change.

Great for chelsea and the top premier league teams.
but would be hugely detrimental for everyone else. The championship would be weaker and that would mean less fun when the likes of swansea, norwich and qpr got premoted!
Basically what it is....
Instead of having the reserves play in that dingy league. Use the reserve team to play in the Carling, FA etc etc cups. And when we get in a dire situation in the tournament, use the 1st team instead and then go back to the reserve team. That way they get higher quality experience and a more frequent experience at that. Making the reserves/future/youth players, that much better when they finally get called up to 1st team duty.
For Chelsea
Undoubtably A huge bonus for the club.. Look at the players emerging for the Barcalona B team Sergi Roberto, Oriel Romeu and Issac Cuenca but to name the latest youngsters. It would give players like Bertrand, PVA, Piazon and players like Davila a chance to feature week in week out. I’ve being lucky to have seen Davila play for Utrecht this season where he has done well but it doesn’t compare to the english game. Even if they didnt play in the championship, mabye league 1 or 2. Chelsea would begin to dominate europe i dare say. It would probably save to club some money, cause at the minute we spend a lot of time and money developing young promising players and end out selling them for half nothing E.g Rakjovic. But the entire english league would suffer with not only chelsea would be able to produce a B team but Utd, City, Spurs and even Liverpool able to produce a team. If the played in the championship they would ruin it completely
