Rhys Taylor heading to Rotherham
The first official loan of the new window was announced this morning. Rhys Taylor will be heading to League Two on a one month loan spell with Rotherham. The Millers are currently hanging around the middle of the table so they are in little danger of relegation, but the club on the whole has been a bit disappointing this season. The one month loan will give us a chance to evaluate where Taylor fits into the team there before committing his services for the rest of the season, hopefully he'll establish himself quickly.
It's a bit surprising to see Taylor back in League Two after he spent all of last season there, but finding temporary homes where goalkeepers will actually see the pitch is always a bit of a tricky proposition. Hopefully Taylor impresses and sees plenty of time on the pitch. This should be the first in a long list of loan moves this January, I'd expect to hear quite a few more of these announcements in the very near future.

If one had to play for us today I'd take Taylor
I don’t think there is much question Blackman is the better long term prospect though

They are pretty similar
Close call there, I’d let them play rock paper scissors for it

He got a clean sheet today!

Yeah, nice start to his loan
You might call this an audition of another sort for Rhys…an audition for a new team to take him on a permanent basis.
I could see him being our third keeper next year
I imagine Courtois will likely have another year on loan and Hilario is gone

Yeah, but then we might as well have Blackman as the nominal third keeper.
Hell, Christophe Lollichon could pull on a shirt and be our third keeper.
Blackman is a legitimate prospect though
I imagine he’ll be heading out on loan if at all possible. Walker and Taylor are far less likely to be stunted by not playing much

Did he get loaned back to Pribram?
As far as I can tell, he’s made 2 substitute cameos in the first half of the season (end of November & early December, before the winter break) for the FK Pribram seniors in the Czech top division…
It's still kind of unclear what his deal is
I’d guess he ends up in next seasons official academy class
