VIDEO: Josh McEachran Hoping To Start 'Most' Swansea Games
Blues midfielder Josh McEachran's loan to Swansea City has been confirmed by the club (don't worry, he'll be back) and Chelsea TV got the chance to interview him before the youngster headed off to Wales. Most of the minute that's popped up on Youtube (video below) was talking about how he was a little nervous to be joining a new club because he'd have to sing, but there's a bit of a gem about expected playing time to be found at the very end:
While I have full faith's in Josh's ability, I'm not entirely sure he'll manage to start most of Swansea's matches. Leon Britton's been brilliant, so he isn't going anywhere, and the Swans have just acquired awesome ex-Reading midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson on loan from Hoffenheim, so McEachran faces a real battle to get significant starting minutes at his new team. However, it's by no means beyond him to make a huge impact, and hopefully his loan spell will be as successful as Danny Sturridge's at Bolton.
Good luck Josh!

Nah. He's the kind of player that can stay relatively slim
doesn’t really want to grow too much more and should focus on being technical and fast. I remember a Newcastle player trying to foul him but Josh just played his way out of it.
Ambitious
Wow. Starting most of the matches – definitely a big statement. Makes me think he was a little nervous in the interview and that comment slipped out. But there’s no way this loan happens without some type of commitment to playing time at Swansea, so I’m excited to see how it turns out.
Remember that Josh was given the option of talking to multiple teams
He chose Swansea, presumably because they made some promises

Really want him to play
But I’m equally excited to see him sing “build me up butter cup”
From Stamford Bridge to Wembley, KTBFFH
Seeing Britton mentioned...
I hope people start calling Xavi “The Spanish Leon Britton.” For a week, at least, until everyone forgets about that passing statistic.

Yeah, or someone might decide to put that passing statistic in context
And realise that it doesn’t mean Britton is better than Xavi :p
Shh!!!

Josh got himself a new set of teeth.
Good call. They used to be all
If he faces a real battle to get in the team, then why choose Swansea?
Stoke would be a much better option.
