Chelsea FC Transfer News: Josh McEachran Loan Deal Agreed
The worst-kept secret of loan deals is finally out in the open: Chelsea FC have agreed to send 18-year-old midfielder Josh McEachran to Swansea on loan for the rest of the season:
We have made an agreement with Chelsea, but they have one or two injuries so we are just waiting to hear when he will be allowed to come. The important thing is we have found an agreement, which is fantastic. In my short career as a manager, I have had six players from Chelsea, I have a great relationship there and I'm sure it will go through sooner rather than later.
I understand he will still be at Chelsea this weekend, but if there is any movement it will be in the early part of next week.

Swansea play a style of football that McEachran should be perfectly suited for, and there's no reason he won't be able to get playing time at the Liberty Stadium. Josh is good enough to play in the Premier League right now, and hopefully he'll seize his chance to shine. He'll still be around for Sunderland (probably because Florent Malouda's hurt and the midfield depth is very light right now), but after that it's time for him to de-basket.
Good luck Josh!

Aren't the other two basketeers, Bertrand and LUKAKU, still in there?

You tricked me! :(

It wasn't me!
Graham dubbed them “The Three Basketeers” in a post recently. Probably the one about AVB’s comments on this loan deal from a few days back.

Don't think Swansea will put Josh
in a different basket…Rodgers was eager to have him at the Liberty Stadium for some time now…

I don't know why, but a lot of young players look about 1,000 years old in match photos.
Jay Spearing of Liverpool is especially bad.

How good is he?
Will he make it to the first team anytime soon?
Or will he ever make it?
