Another week of funny ideas from the papers. Let's Get into it.
Fernando Torres: We had a couple of these rumors last year about cashing in on Torres early for a lower fee. I encourage the papers to think a little harder because these Torres links are too easy to make. I expect more from you Daily Mail (not really).
Cheik Tiote: Alan Pardew had some interesting quotes on how he wants to hold on to Tiote through January but realizes that the transfer window is ( indeed it is ). For me, it would cost way too much and it doesn't really look like Tiote is unhappy where he is.
David Villa: Sad that he broke his leg for Barca. It ended the already low chances of coming to Chelsea. I'd much rather just keep picking Barcelona prospects off, keep em' coming Barca.
Gonzalo Higuain: I'm a big fan of Higuain and think he's been held down by Benzema in Real Madrid lineup. A lot of fans often don't realize he's only 24 years old. A move for him would cost a Torres like fee that I don't for see them paying unless Abramovich gets a little restless in his Russian castle.
Florent Malouda: Athletico Madrid has been rumored for a move which I wouldn't mind. Malouda has looked a little slow this year and not a real threat when coming at defenders on the flank. Athletico is looking to build on their somewhat foolish 40 million splurge on Falcao.
Eduardo Vargas: Stephan has done a great job of chronicling our interest in Vargas and a move is looking more and more plausible. Club officials should move quickly because his price will keep rising as his solid performances for Chile continue. (Note: Looks like he's signed for Napoli)
Frank Lampard For Esteban Granero: I'm a fan of Granero but hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaha, hilarious nonsense from the Sun.
Edison Cavani: Napoli just swiped away Eduardo Vargas from our clutches so maybe it's time we swipe away one of their major players. I've been against signing a striker in January but Cavani is unbelievably good, with a price tag to match that status.
Javier Pastore: Pastore has fallen somewhat out of favor with the fan base and recently said he hopes to move on to a bigger club. Looks like somebody made the wrong choice this summer.
Question of the week: Would you rather have Higuain or Cavani?
